In addition to reducing stress, anxiety and
depression, exercise supports and can
improve overall mental health. Physical
activity produces a sense of feeling good,
and increased mental alertness – a natural
high. Steve says:
“Keep a positive thought; focus on gaining
maximum results from whatever you’re
doing and remember if you put your mind
to it; you can do it.”

For Steve Hayes, fitness is more than exercise it's a way of life . . .
"a healthy body enhances a healthy mind™"
A Healthy Body
The Hayes Way™ principles and techniques tone and strengthen the physique, enable improved sports performance, and seemingly reverse the aging process. The basis of the program is strength (resistance) training and cardio-vascular conditioning.
Strength/Resistance Training
The foundation to optimum fitness is developing strong tendons and core (abdominals).

Hayes focuses on alternating the muscles worked ("push/pull") and using your body weight against gravitational pull to engage the tendons and minimize many sports and recreational injuries.

Most important, the Hayes Way™ method, exercises the muscles and tendons, using the laws of physics to engage the muscle from all angles.
Cardio Conditioning
In keeping with the Hayes Way™ principles, cardio-vascular conditioning engages the core and maintains technique with the proper leg and arm movement.

The cardio conditioning can be applied to all levels of fitness - with an Elite program focused on sprinting and running stadium steps - to a Beginner program that uses walking with alternating speed intervals and walking up steps wit high-knee raises.

For those with existing knee injuries, the techniques are applied to biking, still using internal training and engaging the core.
